Everything ships unlocked — no PIN, no license, no paywall. The operator guide covers every tool in detail. Here's the short version.
1,000+ channels with search, filters and bulk join — plus Check names to test a spelling before you add it, and a live Trending list built from recent activity. Counts only: no senders, no content, no audio data ever leaves your phone for it. The same lists are online at the Explore page.
Import MP3, PCM WAV, Ogg Vorbis or Ogg Opus. Six built-in tones, named pads, favorites, and prepared queues up to sixteen clips. Arm, pause, seek, stop — the queue follows real transmission and leaves your live mic running when it ends.
The dedicated AUDIO button plays a saved recording mixed with your live microphone, on independent levels. It follows real transmission — waiting pauses the clip, reacquisition resumes with rewind. Hear the result in History.
Ordinary PTT and playback no longer pause your music or video apps. An armed session survives Home and the lock screen, and the Active PTT notification shows Transmitting, Connecting or Waiting — with a Stop action. Phone calls still interrupt.
Privacy modes reshape your voice's signature — on-device and free. Robots, characters, radio and tape textures, plus Velvet Smooth. Ten extra effects, per-voice tuning, up to 20 saved variations, and Voice Marquee to shuffle them live.
It listens for Zello's own floor-open signal and hits talk in under a millisecond. Tested 7-0 against the old ZTool in contested reopenings.

Screen protection starts automatically after two minutes of input inactivity — or instantly from the three-dot menu. Adjustable dimming, band strength and movement speed under Theme → Screen protection; a held touch prevents activation. Foreground only, and designed to reduce static bright exposure.
Leaner ZTool animation and animated Talk artwork — fewer repeated lookups and redundant redraws per frame. Movement, actions, timing and your chosen animation stay the same.
